About Us

The Timble Inn is an 18th Century Inn located in the remote and beautiful Washburn Valley on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, seven miles from the market town of Otley and nine miles from the historic spa-town of Harrogate. The Inn is sited next to the main road and has the benefit of a hard standing drive to the front and night entrance doors. The Inn also has its own private gravelled car park to the rear of the premises which is securely lit, together with surveillance cameras

The Timble Inn has re-opened after five years of extensive renovation and restoration. This Grade II-listed building, a former coaching inn, has now been thoroughly modernised and benefits from brand new heating, water and electrical systems. A new kitchen has also been added and the bar area relocated and built a new.

No expense has been spared in creating a casually elegant atmosphere in all of the six letting rooms where luxury abounds. The provision of natural feather pillows and duvets, 400-thread count bed linen and high-quality furnishings help you melt into your pocket-sprung bed and a wall-mounted 32” flat screen TV equipped with Freeview and an extensive hospitality tray allows you to unwind in style. A robe and slippers are provided for your ultimate comfort, as are a range of indulgent toiletries sourced from The White Company and a selection of Egyptian cotton towels having bathed in the latest pressurised water system.

The Inn is perfectly situated 10 miles from the beautiful spa town of Harrogate and equi-distant to Skipton, Otley and the old Roman town of Ilkley (Olicana). Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, walkers can either walk directly from the hotel, taking in the glorious Lower Wharfe and Washburn Valleys as well as the guided routes around the Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs or drive a short distance to the breath-taking North Yorkshire Moors (short walking guides available on request at the bar).

Meals & Opening Times

• Breakfast is served to residents only Monday to Friday 8.30am till 9.30am. Saturday and Sunday 8.30am till 10am. Earlier breakfast can be arranged.
• Lunch is available from 12pm to 2pm. Thursday to Saturday
• Sunday Lunch 12noon to 6pm
• Dinner is available from 6pm till 9pm. Thursday to Saturday
• All our food is fresh, purchased locally, prepared and cooked on the premises to a very high standard. We offer meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, but if you have any dietary requirements please notify us in advance.
• We have a fully licensed bar offering draught beers, wine, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
